Jeff Tift

Jeff Tift is one of the country’s premier wildlife artists. He has won many awards for his paintings, including “Best of Show” at the prestigious Pacific Rim Wildlife Art Show, and a “People’s Choice” Award at the Milwaukee Sports Show. His work is in high demand and is collected by patrons across the U.S. and Canada. A self-taught artist, Jeff’s work is unique and aesthetically pleasing. More than just a painter of animals, Jeff accurately depicts wildlife in its environment, often telling a story.

Jeff spends as much time as possible hiking and backpacking in the Cascade Wilderness surrounding his home. As a result of his extensive research in the field he is able to convey a feeling of “Being There.” The backgrounds of his paintings depict areas he has personally visited and are painted with such accuracy one feels as though one is sharing the experience with Jeff.

Concerned with the rapid decline of our country’s environment and the loss of many species of animals, Tift is motivated by an intense desire to preserve our wildlife in paintings for future generations to appreciate and enjoy. Through his art, Tift strives to help foster a greater respect and understanding for the world around us.
