Jennie Augusta Brownscombe

Known as the Norman Rockwell of her time, Brownscombe, similar to the famous illustrator, chose subjects that depicted American life, interpreting them with a nostalgic eye. This Pennsylvania-born artist was a founder and later faculty member of the distinguished Art Students League in New York.
