Jeremy Bortz was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1965. After majoring in art, he pursued a career in art, photography and framing. He owned numerous galleries and photographic stores. Jeremy was well known in South Africa for his picture framing solutions, regularly appearing on talk shows, writing an advice column for a monthly magazine and hosting framing classes. In the town of Rustenburg where he resided, Jeremy's involvement in the framing industry led him to participate in the development of the Rustenburg Water Color Society where he held numerous solo and group exhibitions. His works were sought after and he was often commissioned to paint both for individuals and corporations. Jeremy has a natural flair for using vibrant colors. His love of color is evident in his oversized, abstract, acrylic-on-canvas painting. His passion for color is an extension of his happy disposition and colorful personality. He now lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
