Artwork Description

Each oil painting is individually hand signed by the artist. Adamo describes Mondiale's meaning as "of the world" and suggests a tapestry of flags of the world. But his passion is always textures from the memories of traveling the tiny roadways of Italy and Greece. Textures such as the earth's rich colors, peeling paint, cracked plaster, a peasant's worn skin, and my signature - the "majolica" -tiny square decorative tiles, handmade by simple Portuguese artisans, and bridging ancient and modern. Edition limited to 195.
